Justin Ray reaches plea agreement in death of sister

PERRY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The brother of a teen who died from severe malnutrition has reached a plea deal.

Justin Ray faces felony counts of child endangerment and willful injury. He is scheduled to agree to a guilty plea on Friday. Details of the plea agreement have not been reached.

Police say Justin Ray drop kicked his sister, Sabrina Ray, down a basement staircase in their Perry home in May of last year.

Sabrina Ray was so seriously injured that she couldn't walk, talk, drink or eat. She died later that month

Prosecutors accuse her adoptive parents, Marc and Misty Ray, of murdering Sabrina, who weighed less than 90 pounds when authorities found her body in the Ray's home back in May.

Sabrina's adoptive grandmother, Carla Bousman, and cousin, Josie Bousman, are also charged in connection to her case. and are awaiting trial. Their trials have been delayed several months.
