Judge drops Dubuque shooting case

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A judge has dropped a case against a man accused of shooting another man this summer.

Nathaniel Grover of Chicago no longer faces attempted murder and willful injury charges for the June shooting.

The Dubuque County Assistant Attorney says she agreed to dismiss the charges because of lack of admissible evidence. She didn't elaborate.

Police say Grover shot a man in the 1500 block of North Grandview Avenue back in June. Stephen Miles showed up to the hospital with injuries and recovered.

The Assistant Public Defender says he made a motion to drop the charges because talks of related gang activity were going to come up during the trial.
