Iowa City Animal Services seeking assistance to identify dogs & owners following dog bite

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Iowa City Animal Services is asking for help identifying dogs and their owners after a resident was bitten on Tuesday.

According to a news release, two dogs were fighting about 2 p.m. Tuesday on Alder Ct. A resident broke up the fight and received a bite on his middle finger.

The dogs involved were a white Labrador Retriever and a German Shepherd with no color description. Authorities said two juvenile males were with the dogs.

Animal Services is seeking information regarding the rabies vaccinations of the dogs, and ask anyone with information about the identities of the dogs' owners to call Animal Services at (319) 356-5295, or the Iowa City Police Department at (319) 356-6800.
