The Cedar Valley Humane Society is offering a special classroom adoption starting on Monday.

The shelter in Cedar Rapids says teachers can adopt a pair of guinea pigs or one rabbit for no charge. But it does say teachers must have a cage and supplies if they don't already have those things.

These are some of the hundreds of animals Cedar Valley rescued from a woman's home in Vinton.

Cedar Valley also asks teachers bring their school identification and some sort of letter from the school saying they have permission to take care of the animals in the classroom.

The adoption special runs from March 19th-24th.
