CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Today has more clouds than sunshine once again. A front coming in from the northwest will produce some scattered showers this afternoon and evening as highs reach the 60s. Showers become more widespread tonight.
Occasional rain and thunderstorms last continue Saturday into early Saturday night. Widespread rainfall amounts of one to two inches are likely, although it may be a bit less in far northern Iowa. Some storms could be strong late Saturday in far southern Iowa.
Northwest winds crank up Saturday night through Sunday and may gust as high as 40 mph. Next week looks pleasant.
