CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - These clouds have been persistent, and we can't quite shake the pockets of drizzle, either. The thick overcast will keep highs around 60 this afternoon.
We should see some clearing overnight, but clouds will come right back in on Friday. They may squeeze out a few showers Friday evening, but the better chance will arrive during the night. We'll have upper 60s to lower 70s tomorrow.
Occasional rain and thunderstorms are likely Saturday and Saturday night, and heavy rain of one to two inches is likely. Locally higher amounts are possible. Some storms in southern Iowa could be strong Saturday evening.
Sunday will be dry, but windy and cooler.
