DES MOINES (KCRG-TV9) - Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture Division of DowDupont, has announced a new focused seed strategy for the U.S. Two Iowa seed brands will be affected.

Corteva says it plans for a multi-channel, multi-brand seed strategy to expand access to company genetics, technology, and traits across various agriculture distribution channels; including agency, direct, retail, distribution, and licensing.

It will now market through five regional corn and soybean seed brands in the U.S. including Dairyland Seed, Hoegemeyer, Seed Consultants, Terral, and Iowa-based NuTech. Each will have an expanded portfolio.

Five other brands including Brodbeck, Curry, Doebler’s, Pfister, and Iowa based Prairie Brand will be combined with those regional seed brands.

As a result, NuTech Seed will move from Iowa to headquarters in Illinois, at the former offices of Pfister. They will be joined by employees of the combined brands, including Prairie Brand.

NuTech says popular products made by the combined brands will still be available.
