Car hits train on Broadway Street in Waterloo

WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Police were called on January 2 at 6:03 a.m. to a report of a car that hit a train as the train was passing the roadway.

Ann Kjeld was driving northbound when she failed to yield, causing the car to hit the train on Broadway Street.

An employee of CN Railroad said all crossing railroad lights were working when the accident happened.

Kjeld was cited for failing to completely stop at a railroad crossing.

The car was towed away.
