UPDATE: Names released in Cedar Rapids shooting that left one dead, one injured

Kristopher Booker, 30, of Center Point, has been identified as the person who died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Authorities say Brandon Toepfer, 35, of Margate, Florida, was the victim of the incident who has gunshot wounds.

Cedar Rapids police say one man is dead and another injured after what they are calling a "domestic situation".

Officers were called to 639 40th Street SE at 4:40 a.m. Monday morning.

They found a 35-year-old man inside who had been shot several times. They also found a 30-year-old man outside the home suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The 35-year-old was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is expected to recover.

Investigators believe the 30-year-old man shot the 35-year-old man before shooting himself. They say the 30-year-old man had a prior relationship with a female living in the residence.

The female and several children in the home were not injured.

Names are being withheld.

Authorities were called to a gunfire incident on 40th Street SE and Soutter Avenue Court SE around 4:40 a.m. Monday morning.

Police tell TV9 one person was injured by a gunshot wound. The extent of their injuries hasn't been released.

Authorities say no one is in custody at this time.
