APLINGTON, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Parents of infants and pregnant women in Aplington should avoid drinking water from the city's system due to a high nitrate problem.
The city said the level of nitrates tested slightly above normal.
Woman who are pregnant or babies under the age of six months should drink only bottled water for the next several days. Bathing or washing hands is safe.
The City of Aplington will notify residents as soon as nitrate levels have normalized.
