Alicia is excited to be working at KCRG-TV9 and getting the chance to wake up every morning to deliver the news to Eastern Iowa.

Before coming to Iowa, Alicia worked as a multimedia journalist at CBS 4 in Gainesville, Florida. There, she covered the devastating storm damage left over from Hurricane Hermine in the small coastal towns of Cedar Key and Horseshoe Beach in 2016. She’s also covered the 2016 Presidential Race in Florida, most notably a Donald Trump rally in Ocala and the increasing concern of the Zika virus throughout the state.

Alicia has also worked at WNEW 99.1 a 24-hour news network under CBS Radio in Washington D.C., where she worked as a Web editor and an overnight producer.

She completed internships at ABC’s World News Now and a fellowship with CNN.

Alicia received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from George Mason University in 2010 and her master’s degree in international affairs at Georgetown University in 2013.

In her spare time when she’s not working she enjoys reading, yoga, and hiking with friends.
