Julie joined the KCRG-TV9 team in 2007 as the morning producer. She later moved into management as Executive Producer, before assuming the News Director position in May 2009.

Julie started her career as a reporter/photographer at KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa. There she learned many aspects of the business, and eventually found her place in producing and management.

Julie earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Minnesota. She is a Minnesota native, but has found a great home in Iowa.
