Katie Wiedemann Katie Wiedemann joined the KCRG-TV9 News team in 2004. As the Dubuque Reporter, Katie tells the stories of the people living in her hometown.

Born and raised in Dubuque, Katie has the insider's look on what is happening in the Dubuque area.

Katie graduated from Coe College in 2003. While in college, Katie was an intern for the Fox News Channel in New York City.

In 2004, Katie started her career as a reporter at KTVO in Kirksville, Missouri. She returned home and began her position as Dubuque Reporter in September, 2004.

In 2007, the Tri-State Business Times named Katie a "Rising Star." That award recognizes business leaders, under the age of 40, for career growth and volunteer work.

Katie's reports about local people have taken her from Dubuque to New York City and Washington D.C.

Katie and her husband Jason live in Dubuque. She enjoys listening to live music, traveling,
shopping and spending time at her family's lake house in Monmouth, Illinois.
