Beth Malicki

Beth MalickiBeth Malicki anchors KCRG-TV9's Sunday evening newscasts and joins Bruce Aune Monday through Friday at 5, 6, and 10 o’clock. In addition to her anchor duties, Beth is the head of the KCRG-TV9 News investigative unit and brings you daily news stories as well.

Before KCRG-TV9 Beth spent six years as the 5, 6 and 10 o’clock co-anchor at KOMU in Columbia, Missouri. Beth covered the fatal plane crash of Governor Mel Carnahan, the deadly Modine Manufacturing shootings in Jefferson City and was the head of the Target 8 investigative unit. She also was an adjunct instructor at the University of Missouri Journalism School. As a graduate of the same program, Beth has many friends and former students across the country working in TV news.

While in Columbia, Beth supported a number of charities like the Central Missouri Food Bank, the March of Dimes and MDA. One of the most rewarding programs was a dance group called Center Stage. Center Stage offers free dance lessons to needy children and in its second year more than 250 children enrolled. Seeing those dancers perform at their first recital and the parents cheering in the audience was well worth the hundreds of hours Beth spent planning the charity.

Beth’s other passion is books. In high school and college she worked at a small, independent bookstore in her hometown of St. Louis. For five years she spent most of her paycheck on more books! Other than her family, Beth says reading all types of literature had the biggest influence in shaping who she is today.

Beth enjoys cooking with her husband, Brett, and exploring the outdoors with their sons and daughter.
