AmazaShow.com, an entertainment and news website geared towards young adults, would like to present to the people of Iowa City “500: The Flood Benefit Concert”, a concert featuring world-renowned musical acts as a reprieve from the recent flooding disaster. The number 500 represents the 500-year Flood Plain Zone, an area of Iowa that had a 0.2% chance of flooding. During the recent floods however this area received extensive damages. Proceeds from the Concert will benefit the Coralville/Iowa City Area Flood Relief Fund which has been established within the Community Foundation of Johnson County.The acts include hit band Thee Armada nominated for an MTV VMA from their hit single Rock, Shock, and Load. Hip Hop artist Chen Lo who's been tearing up the streets and charts on mtvU and MTV2 with his original hit 'Brooklyn'. Local band BackDrop who\'s roots began at Iowa City West high school, as well as Joey Ashby with his smooth R&B hits making noise out of Des Moines IA. Other guests include DJ NYJ and Yomi Desalu manager of MTV Networks. The admission of the concert is only $15 and in kind donations will also be taken.
