Free Comedy and Praise Concert

Encouragement Corp, a non-denominational, non-profit organization is sponsoring a free Comedy and Praise Concert on Saturday, August 23 starting at 7:00 p.m. The event will begin with comedian Brad Stine followed by the Christian Rock Band Kutless. The concert will take place at the corner of Clark and Main Street in Charles City, rain location is at the Charles City High School.

This is the second year that Encouragement Corp has sponsored this event. Last year’s entertainment was Lamppost Theatre out of Cedar Falls, local groups Damascus Road and Bethany Alliance Praise Band. The main event in 2007 was the Christian Rock Band By The Tree.

Encouragement Corp began as an idea from a local Charles City resident to offer a free, uplifting Christian concert to encourage everyone in the community, especially the most valuable asset, the youth. Encouragement Corp consists of many generous donors who anonymously support this event.
