Employees and their immediate families ( i.e. spouses, children, parents, in-laws and siblings) of the Cedar Rapids Television Company (including KCRG-TV9), The Gazette Company and its subsidiaries, and participating sponsors, or of any independent judge of the contest, are not eligible to enter. The term "employees" includes independent contractors who provide circulation services to The Gazette Company and its subsidiaries.

Winners are responsible for all tax obligations to the Internal Revenue Service, the State of Iowa or any other taxing authority which may arise as a result of winning a prize. An IRS form 1099 MISC may be given to each winner reporting the value of the prize if required by applicable law.

The parent or guardian of each winner and all travel companions will be asked to sign a publicity release allowing KCRG, its participating sponsors, and their affiliates to use the winner’s (and winner’s travel companions) name, address (city and state only), image, photograph videotape, voice, likeness, etc., for promotional publicity or advertising purposes at any time.

The parent or guardian of each winner and all travel companions will be required to sign a liability release waiving all claims against Cedar Rapids Television Company, The Gazette Company and its subsidiaries and participating sponsors, their respective advertising agencies, directors, officers, employees and agents relating to any injury or damage such winner or travel companion may sustain as the result of the prize or any travel associated with the use of the prize.

Co-Sponsors and KCRG-TV9 management reserve the right to void any part of, cancel or modify this promotion at any time. Any dispute not covered by these rules will be resolved by the KCRG-TV9 General Manager in a manner deemed by him to be fair to all parties concerned and consistent with applicable law. Any such resolutions shall be final.

All expenses associated with prizes, which are not specified herein as part of the prize, are the responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize winner(s) are responsible for making their own reservations and travel arrangements through provided travel agency. The Grand Prize Trip must be taken prior to June 1, 2009 or it will be forfeited.

Goody Bag Prizes must be claimed from the KCRG-TV9 studios by Friday, August 22, 2008 or they will be forfeited.

Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged or substituted.
