KCRG-TV9 is proud to continue the tradition of supporting and celebrating charitable organizations and events in Eastern Iowa. All of the support offered through the Show You Care program happens because of the time, dedication, and generosity our Sponsors. Without them, none of this would be possible! Coats for Kids

  • Coats for Kids Information
    It gets cold during the Eastern Iowa winter. Sometimes VERY cold. There are children in our area whose families cannot afford new coats for them after they have grown out of the one from the previous year. To serve this need, KCRG-TV9 created Coats For Kids. It is a partnership between KCRG, our Show You Care sponsors, and area outreach groups to collect and distribute new and gently used coats each fall. Coats in sizes infant through kids size 12 are donated at Show You Care Sponsor locations, collected and cleaned, and distributed to the children who need them by Eastern Iowa family service organizations and volunteers. Many more children can stay warm each winter as a result of the generosity of our communities.

    TO RECEIVE A COAT FOR A CHILD: Freshly cleaned coats will be ready for pick-up at the distribution locations (click the link below to see the distribution locations) beginning in October. If a child you know needs a winter coat, contact one of the distribution locations starting in October.
