Kennedy High School. Mark Musker is the teacher every parent prayers for their child to have. He is a special education teacher, Asperger Program. This teacher is the best of the best! When my daughter was placed in a behavior disorder class, a placement that was very harmful to her, he is the only one in the school district that had my daughter's best interest at heart. He told me about the Asperger Program and helped her get into it. That saved her life! She went from attempting to kill herself to honor roll. She took her ACTs this summer and scored a 17! When she came back from placement in Des Moines, the school district sent her to Polk school instead of back to Kennedy, this was a big mistake. When he found out about her being placed at Polk he made sure the associate she had before, Miss. Falkner was her associate at Polk. He fought for this and told the school district if they did not do this AynMaree would not survive. When he found out that the program she was in was not what we were lead to believe, he got the ball rolling and got her back to his classroom within a few weeks. This teacher is what a real teacher is. If it wasn't for him, my daughter wouldn't be alive right now, let alone starting college in July.
