Xavier Beats Waterloo East, Looks Poised For Another State Title Run

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Kayla Armstrong led the scoring and Cedar Rapids Xavier beat Waterloo East 17-1 on Tuesday at Heco Field.

The Saints finish the regular season 14-1 and with eight straight victories. Xavier will host the regional tournament and plays either Independence or East Marshall/South Tama in the regional semifinals on May 28 before the state tournament, where the Saints have won seven straight championships.
