Britley Ritz

KCRG-TV9 Meteorologist Britley Ritz joined the KCRG-TV9 First Alert Storm Team in January 2015. Britley does the weekend morning newscasts and is thrilled to be back on flat land with good ole corn and soy bean fields.

Before KCRG-TV9, Britley was a weekend meteorologist and reporter at KQDS-FOX 21 in Duluth, MN forecasting for the Great Lake Superior region.

Britley was born in Richmond, IN and raised in Greenville, OH a small farm town just NW of Dayton, OH. Weather wasn't always her favorite area of study. She grew up terrified of weather, especially storms. Going through college she started off as an art major, but wanted to face her fears; changing her major to meteorology. She now has Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology and Climatology from Ball State University, where she studied and chased storms through the entire Midwest for several weeks. Overcoming her ultimate fear of severe weather!

In her free time Britley enjoys spending time with family, drawing, and outside activities. Oh and of course chasing a storm or two when the weather conditions are just right!
