CEDAR RAPIDS - You know that favorite spot you have to grab a quick lunch, or that stylist who gives you the perfect look?

Now, there's a new way to show everyone just how good they are.

It's called the A-List, you'll find it at KCRG.COM.

We call them off the beaten path, hole in the walls or neighborhood favorites.

Places like Al and Irene's Barbeque House in Cedar Rapids.

"It's off the main drag, it's easy to forget," said Al Quarterman, owner of Al and Irenes.

Advertising gets the word out, but you can't add your own opinion, and you not all of your friends are going to see the ad.

"One of the best things is customers telling other people, and that brings in a lot of people," said Quarterman.

Lets face it here, nobody's circle of friends is that big. Now you can use the A-List at KCRG.COM.

The list shows you hole-in-the-wall spots, along with everyone else. Even better, you can add your own favorite spot and help vote to pick the best in any category.

There are lots of categories, from dining to fashion to massages. That's where we found Stepping Stones Massages in Ely.

"We've been here for 3 years now, and people stop in saying 'I've always meant to stop in', or 'I never knew you were here before,'" said owner Lauraine Harding

Hurry up, voting starts on January 28th, voting ends on March 23rd.

Then, we'll announce the best of the A-List. That business will get a special recognition.

Even after the awards are given, you'll still be able to add to the A-List at KCRG.COM.

We'll continue to take more nominations for the next round of voting later on.
