Demolition On Sans Souci Island Continues
WATERLOO, Iowa - Demolition crews wiped out nearly two dozens homes on Sans Souci Island in Waterloo this week.
The homes on the Island were damaged by flood waters in the flood of 2008. Earlier this year, Waterloo's city council voted to buy 26-acres of the island. Council members later agreed to buy the remaining 134-acres. The 2008 flood damaged the 20 homes on the southern tip of the island. |
