Fast-growing Benton County town of Atkins could grow even faster soon

The Benton County community of Atkins just keeps growing. And that growth is liable to speed up in the coming years with completion of the nearby Highway 100 bypass.

A team of middle school students who are part of Girls on the Run of eastern Iowa delivered a special treat to Cedar Rapids firefighters.

Whether it's heat, cold, rain, or snow, there will probably be a day in the future for many when parents will spend the day inside with the kids.

"The premise of the pledge," said Association Executive Kevin Platz, "is to make sure our realtor members know exactly who they're showing properties to."
