UPDATE: More details released in shooting and manhunt

The Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office has released more details about the officer-involved shooting and manhunt in Galena, Illinois early Wednesday morning.

A 19-year-old University of Iowa student from a Chicago suburb was severely beaten over the weekend, and his family said the incident was racially motivated.

The City of Dubuque Water Department continues advising some Dubuque residents boil water before using it for drinking or cooking.

Authorities say a recently fired employee opened fire at a transportation company near Houston, killing one employee and injuring another before fatally shooting himself.
